disregards the four previous Batman movies (that’s a good thing) and recaptures the true spirit of the Dark Knight as a kick-ass vigilante. Where the previous 4 Batman films had a very kiddy, comic bookesk kind of feel to them (especially the last 2), this re-imagining of the Batman story is much darker with a more gritty adult oriented feel to it.
As the title implies, Batman Begins tells the story, of how Bruce Wayne (this time played by Christian Bale) leaves Western civilization to find his destiny as the Batman. in fact, Tim Burton spends a great deal of time explaining the origins of the Bat, his training in the far east, and the source of his amazing technology (weapons, car, toys, etc.) making this movie a SciFi essential for any DVD collection!
