George W. Bush on the FUTURE of solar energy
A quote from the President:
"I had an interesting opportunity to go see some research and development being done on solar energy. I'm convinced, someday in the relative near future we'll be able to have units on our houses that will be able to power electronics within our houses, and hopefully, with excess energy, be able to feed them back in the system. That's possible. We’re not there yet, but it's coming." - George W. Bush, White House, Oct. 4, 2005
Of course people have been using solar power in their houses and feeding power back into the grid since the mid 90's (around 1996)... Maybe what he meant was he and his Big Oil friends will someday have use for solar units on their houses to power electronics. I guess they just don't feel a need solar power yet, after all there is still all those non-renewable resources like oil, gas, natural gas, petroleum and diesel fuel to burn through first. ; )
