Supernatural - packs an eerie punch
Thanks in no small part to the success of the SciFi genre with ABC’s “Lost” and NBC’s “Medium” last season, the networks have all been struggling to come up with the next big SciFi hit.
This season there are a few good new shows in the SciFi genre and Supernatural is one of them. The show stars Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), brothers with an unfortunate history… It seems the women in their lives have a tendency to spontaneously combust and their dad has gone missing. Now, while searching for their missing father (a demon hunter), Sam and Dean hunt down and kill all the demons and ghosts they find along the way.
The show's abundant special effects, reminiscent of movies such as the ring, really help bring the evil spirits to life. Supernatural may just be the best new SciFi series this season and is most promising thing on the WB since Buffy.
