Supernatural “Skin” (this week). Review / Preview
Bubblegum X-Files… but still generally entertaining and a bit creepy.
So, now that we are 4 shows into the season, what is this show all about? Well in a nut shell; Flash back 20 years, a mother gets killed, pinned to the ceiling burned alive, in the middle of the night – major bummer. Dad spends the next 20 years hunting evil spirits and other supernatural baddies in hopes of finding the particular baddie that murdered his wife and in the process raises his two sons as (ghost) “hunters”. Its now 20 years later, Dad goes missing on a one of his missions and one of their girlfriends gets the same inferno treatment as Mom did 20 years ago. Now the 2 brothers must reunite and find him, and kill the big bad that killed their mother (and a girlfriend) once and for all.
There is pretty decent chemistry between the two leads. As brothers they are different but complementary, one is a carefree (almost) bad-boy type, and the other is darker and heavy hearted good-boy type. The episodes, it seems, are filled with plenty of stories exploring their relationship and telling their back story.

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) come to the aid of Sam's old college buddy after he is accused of a murder he swears he didn’t commit. The brothers discover a shapeshifter is adopting the likenesses of others and murdering people. The brothers' race to stop the shapeshifter takes a terrifying turn when he shifts into the likeness of Dean.
