M. Night Shyamalan’s "The Lady in the Water" - SCIFI movie preview

The new M. Night Shyamalan movie project is nearly ready to hit the big screen. M. Night Shyamalan is a screen writer / director and is best known for his work on the movies The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, and The Village. His latest SCIFI movie titled The Lady in the Water is describe in the teaser trailer as a "bedtime story" based on an apartment building superintendent (Paul Giamatti) who finds a water nymph (Bryce Dallas Howard) in the apartment swimming pool.

Synopsis from the official Warner Brothers website: A modest building manager named Cleveland Heep rescues a mysterious young woman from danger and discovers she is actually a narf, a character from a bedtime story who is trying to make the treacherous journey from our world back to hers. Cleveland and his fellow tenants start to realize that they are also characters in this bedtime story. As Cleveland falls deeper and deeper in love with the woman, he works together with the tenants to protect his new fragile friend from the deadly creatures that reside in this fable and are determined to prevent her from returning home.

Once Upon a Time... There was a man named Cleveland Heep, whose life would change forever.

The Lady in the Water is written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan and is scheduled for release on July 21 2006. The you can see the Lady in the Water teaser trailer here.
