New characters announced for the upcoming X-Men 3

A relatively unknown actress Mei Melancon will play the mutant assassin Psylocke in X-Men 3 ("X3"). Psylocke is best known for her telepathic and teleportation abilities, but so far all that's known about Psylocke's part in X3 is that she'll be working for Magneto (Ian McKellen), joining the Brotherhood of Mutants. Her addition to the cast is sure to ad an element of danger and excitement to the plot (think Nightcrawler in X2 only ill intentioned and more deadly).

I guess you can add Psylocke to the trend of HOT ass-kick'n women in recent SCIFI media.

Other additions to the mutant cast of X3 include Beast (Kelsey Grammer), Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page), Angel (Ben Foster) and Juggernaut (Vinnie Jones).

X-Men 3 is scheduled for release on May 26.
